Marine electronics is the generic name for electronic devices designed and classed for use in the marine environment on board ships and yachts. The majority of these types of devices are either water resistant or waterproof.
Marine electronics include chartplotters, autopilots and electronics used for entertainment. As the use of IoT devices increases and development of connectivity and digitalisation in general accelerates, more and more smart devices onboard are developed.
